By the time you read this, I will be in Stevens Point, WI for the 2013 National Wellness Conference. I thought about blogging every day while I was there on interesting topics I encountered in the various sessions. I thought I would do this up until today.
Then I remembered from last year how lovely it was to unplug for four days and focus on personal rejuvenation. It was so refreshing to move from session to session and really absorb the material without jumping on the Internet every spare moment. To write down thoughts and notes on paper—with a pen! To sit and do nothing.
This is my vacation!
So I will remove myself from those things that are part of my normal plugged-in routine: blogging, checking email, working on websites, being active on social media.
I’m excited to be filled with new knowledge (especially related to coaching), try some new types of exercise/movement, and eat the wonderful food served up at the conference. And I’m especially excited to be speaking about “Blogging for Wellness” on Tuesday afternoon.
When I get back from vacation, I’ll tell you all about it. But now I need to pack and hit the road.
2013 National Wellness Conference, here I come!
