Our new house came with an exercise room.
“Great!” we thought. “We love to exercise.” We purchased the treadmill that lived in said exercise room for $300 from the previous owners.
Until a few days ago, when the belt on the treadmill came loose and every step became treacherous.
This is the problem with stuff. It breaks. Then you have to fix it. Or if you’re like us and you don’t have the faintest clue how to fix it, you either have to pay somebody to do it or get rid of the thing. (Yes, it is listed in the “Free” section of DecorahNow…)
It’s really sad, actually. I mean, I don’t even want to think about this treadmill ending up in a landfill. But I’m sure it will. And because we like to run (and because we live in the frigid part of the Midwest), we will likely get another one.
More stuff leads to more things to maintain leads to headache.
That’s all folks.
